This Morning, Aaron recieved the call that a kidney was available!
As of 8:00 PM, he has been in surgery for about 1.5 hours.
At that time, we recieved word from Sandy that while he was still in surgery and probably will be for a while, the kidney is working!
This is fantastic news, and we will keep you updated.
Thank You to everyone who has helped and prayed for Aaron.  Please continue your prayers as we are still not out of the woods!

This morning Sandy called to let me know that Aaron had come through the surgery well.  He was moving about and speaking with difficulty due to a tube.  The kidney seems to be functioning well and all seems good.  Later, speaking with Nathan the tubes must have been removed because Aaron was actually eating some Jello.  Good signs!!  In fact, he has been up and walking all over the 9th floor, which surprises the Doctors.  Aaron will probably be in the hospital for 1 to 2 weeks =/- dependent on his recovery.

If you would like to visit Aaron he is at Childrens Hospital 9 west rm 52.

You can call 314-454-6000 and ask for this room and his name to call and speak to someone.

Aaron comes HOME today!!!!!!!!!

Friday, February 9 2008

Hello everyone just a little note to fill you in about what is currently going on with Aaron. Well he is really feeling much better and is trying to get back into the swing of things with school, but as those of you who see him noticed that he was having trouble walking. This we were very worried about - but as of today we have found the problem, he has two fractures in each foot, both the left one and the right one. Due to the fact that Aaron was having trouble with all of his lab work (blood work) with the vitamin d and all other blood issues from the kidneys not working propperly -- This has slightly affected his bones in his feet so he will be in a cast in both feet - (only one at a time lucky for him) for the next several weeks and is told that he has to stay off of his feet for them to heal. So not only will he be in a cast but he will be in a wheelchair. Thank you all for thinking of him and for your time and prayers we really are so glad to know all of you. Sincerely--- Sandra Torimino
